Blocks on a platform (AI workplace, automation, transcription, accounting AI, ...) only cost their configuration; the platform itself appears once with its rollout and its seats or base fee (prices researched 2026). Stand-alone solutions use the middle of the catalog price band, scaled to the size of the company.
Assumptions and sources
Total headcount 80: about 12 in design/electrical/software, 9 in sales, project management and purchasing, 18 in machining and stores, 20 in assembly, 8 in commissioning and service, 13 in admin, QA, IT and management. Hours are estimates for the whole company per week and cover recurring tasks only, not leave or sickness (about 40 gross hours per head; the model holds roughly 2,250 hours of recurring tasks and core work, the rest is project work, core engineering, meetings and travel). Figures reflect general industry knowledge of custom machine building (VDMA structures, skilled-labour shortage among designers and electricians), not a single study. Hourly rate 68 euros as a fully loaded mix of office and technical staff. Rules: the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 replaces the Machinery Directive from January 2027, CE conformity, risk assessment per ISO 12100, EN 60204-1, GoBD, GDPR.
